To be honest, I had an idea for this audio project of explaining one aspect of myself in clear and straight answer of my hobbies in writing. I felt a simple straight to the point approach would be the way to talk about my story. There wasn’t a lot of focus put on any special effects or little things that would make it pop. It was just a lot of preparation and keeping the voice good and clear for the listener.
First off was to write a well thought out script for me to say. This was critical since I had only 1 to 3 mins of me explaining this story. As I wrote my script, I narrowed the topic down to three things. The first was the introduction, bringing up about my writing hobby and how I explain to people when I write stories online. The second was a quick nod on what the website that I publish my stories on, wattpad. I didn’t plan to have a report on what is was, just a brief summary.
The next part was something I knew would be very critical to this story. I explained what I’ve gained from Wattpad such as a large number of people reading, a good amount of votes or likes on the book, and the comments that came with it. I ended that final part of the story to encourage anyone listening to try it out as it can be fun, rewarding, and most of all productive.
As I finished writing up the script, I finally decided it was time to record myself reading it. I keep my tone between informative to excited and encouraging as I got to the end. I made sure the environment was calm and quiet and drank some water before I record myself.
Once I finish running through my line in the right tone, I stop and adjust the bar to make sure my voice is audible for people to hear clearly.
